Fall Means Pumpkins, Apple Cider & Festivals

19 Oct

I snapped this shot at The Fruitville Grove Market off I-75 in Sarasota.

Pumpkins of all sizes were being sold for $5 a pop

These apples were of the Golden Delicious (left) and Fuji (right) varieties

Son Travis tested his strength by hefting this whopper

I plan on going back and scoring some apple butter. I might also try one of their world famous Pumpkin Pie Milk Shakes made with Big Olaf’s locally made ice cream. Sounds deeee-lish, but calorie laden. Oh well, I will justify it as stomach-stretching training for the rapidly approaching holiday season.
