Sangria is mighty refreshing

1 Jun

Making real sangria can be hard work with lots of chopping and muddling. However, I have found and easy and refreshing way to create a reasonable facsimile. Start by filling your glass with a few ounces of red wine (doesn’t have to be an expensive vintage — any decent cabernet sauvignon, merlot or shiraz will do). Add lots of ice and then fill the glass near the top with some good OJ … preferably the kind with a little bit (or a lot) of pulp. Squirt in some lime juice (or squeeze in a fresh lime wedge if you have it on hand) and stir. Experiment with just the right ratio of wine and fruit juice until you find a blend to suit your taste.

If you want to concoct the real deal, try this recipe link below and prepare to mambo. Arriba!
