Ted Peters’ Smoked Mullet

16 May

This place is the bomb — a must visit when in St. Pete. As you can see from before and after shots, I kind of liked the smoked mullet. Even the slaw and German potato salad were top notch.

Put this one on your must-do list and thank me later.

I grew up in St Petersburg and Ted Peters has always been a staple for our family! My Grandfather moved to Pinellas county in 1951 and said it was the best place to get smoked mullet back then and still is today! My mother used to stop by on the way to Sunset beach and get a couple of mullet to have for our picnic lunch. The German potatoe salad is to die for! The mackrel spread is the best! Do your self a favor if you are ever within 100 miles of the place, drive to Pasadena blvd and go to Ted peters smoked fish! You will be back, I promise you!

Went there last week.(Feb 2012) Have to agree. It was delicious. Wish we had had time to go back for more. We will try to smoke our own and also make smoked fish spread, which was also splendid.
